Posters
Each year we create a beautiful and engaging poster to promote the Detroit Kennel Club shows. A representative dog from one of the seven groups is featured. The featured dog on the 2012 Poster is "Bullet" a German Shepherd K-9 Officer from the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office. This year, the artist, Kathy Krupa and Bullet's handler will be available to sign posters. Check back closer to show time for the poster signing schedule.

About K9 Officer "Bullet" - the 2012 DKC Dog Shows Poster Dog
K9s are an invaluable enhancement to the routine patrol activities and in assisting with specialized police investigations. The K9 units of the metropolitan area are proud of the services that their canine teams provide to the community. Each team being a dog and handler. Their training consists of tracking, apprehension, article searches (evidence recovery), handler protection and building/area searches. Each dog is also cross trained in either narcotics detection or explosives detection.
About Portrait Artist, Kathy Krupa
Kathy Krupa is quickly becoming one of the country's top dog artists and we are proud she is a Michigan native residing in Sterling Heights. She has specialized in the fine art of animal portraiture since January 2000, using soft pastels to enhance the soft texture of fur and assure generations of color fastnesses.
Kathy is known for her ability to paint eyes and for capturing personality in a portrait and hopes you will find her work “Worth Pausing for.”
We also have posters available from previous shows.
