As a new member of the DKC, I graciously volunteered to create and maintain a new website for the club. It was my intention to construct a site that would be informative, easy to browse and above all, enjoyable. The DKC hopes that this website will spark your interest in our annual benched dog shows as either exhibitors or spectators. And even more important, as a primary mission of the Detroit Kennel Club is to educate the public about AKC registered purebred dog ownership, we hope that you will find the information provided here to be helpful in that regard.
Much of the information found here is based on my own experience as a longtime breeder of purebred dogs; consequently some of the opinions expressed are my own and not necessarily held by all members of the club. The DKC welcomes your input and suggestions. Any errors in fact will be remedied as soon as possible; other corrections will be made as time allows. Much of the specific show information will be updated as the show dates get closer.
