GRAND HOTEL CHALLENGE TROPHY donated by the Grand Hotel and presented to the winner of Best in Show by the Detroit Kennel Club at the Annual Sunday Detroit Kennel Club Show. This trophy is a Handchased Sterling Silver Antique Loving Cup, which is Engraved and Mounted on a Mahogany Base.

 

BREEDER OF BEST IN SHOW DOG

JULIA GASOW CHALLENGE TROPHY & Rosette offered by the Detroit Kennel Club to the Breeder of the Best in Show Dog at the Detroit Kennel Club Show. This trophy is a Handchased Silver Plated Engraved 15 1/2'' Bowl Mounted on a Mahogany Base.

RULES FOR ALL MEMORIAL AND CHALLENGE TROPHIES:

Each must be won 3 times by the same identical owner or co-owners, not necessarily with the same dog nor at consecutive shows. The Memorial & Challenge Trophies will remain in the possession of the Detroit Kennel Club until permanently won and retired.

Sporting Group. THE CHRIS G. TEETER MEMORIAL CHALLENGE TROPHY to be offered by the Detroit Kennel Club for the Sporting Group Winner at the Detroit Kennel Club Show. This trophy is a SP Covered Tureen.

Hound Group. THE ING. ROBIN HERNANDEZ MEMORIAL CHALLENGE TROPHY donated by his many friends and offered by the Detroit Kennel Club at their Show for the Hound Group Winner. (Retired in 1993 by Ch. Triumph of Grandeur. Re-offered is a Marcia Brown Original Bronze of Int. Ch. Shirkhan of Grandeur (circa 1975) by Roger Rechler and Michael Canalizo). A Large Wall Plaque with an Engraved Name Plate listing the date, dog's name and the owner(s) will be attached to commemorate the win.

Terrier Group. THE FRED H. GASOW, DVM, MEMORIAL CHALLENGE TROPHY donated by Mr. & Mrs. R.D. Musser, offered through the Detroit Kennel Club for the Terrier Group Winner at the Detroit Kennel Club Show. This trophy is an Original Bronze Piece by Ric Chashoudian.

Toy Group. THE E.W. TIPTON, JR. MEMORIAL CHALLENGE TROPHY to be donated by The Dog Handlers Guild and his many friends and offered through the Detroit Kennel Club at their Show for the Toy Group Winner. This trophy is a Ric Chashoudian Original Bronze of Ch. Rebel Roc's Casanova von Kurt, "Little Daddy".

Herding Group. THE WILLIAM AND JANE DANT MEMORIAL CHALLENGE TROPHY. Trophy to be offered by the Detroit Kennel Club for the Herding Group Winner at the Detroit Kennel Club Show. This trophy is a Polished Pewter Bowl.
