At the Saturday show, the DKC has a special competition for Best Puppy, which is open to any dog between the ages of six months and one year entered in one of the puppy classes. After the breed judging, the judge brings the all of the puppy winners back into the ring and selects the dog deemed best to represent the breed in the puppy group competition.
