The Obedience competition is truly a team effort between dog and owner. Dogs are trained to perform a series of exercises, and compete at increasingly difficult levels as they progress. They move on from heeling and sitting to complicated retrieving and scent discrimination exercises. The dog with the highest score each day is awarded Highest Scoring Dog in Trial. These dogs are incredibly tuned in to their owners and are amazing to watch.
